Fox News brainwashes viewers, Wins Election Week

Fox viewers have an endless stream of entertainment that appeal to simpletons. Yes, one can enjoy The Simpsons, Family Guy, as well as Bill Oreilly, Hannitty and Colmes and endless stream of mind numbing talking heads without leaving the network. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Fox News Wins Election Week, #1 Network In All Of Cable

CNN may have won election night, but Fox News retained the most viewers, winning Election Week and taking the #1 spot in primetime among all cable networks for the week.

Fox News averaged 3.5 million viewers in primetime for the week, compared to CNN's 3.3 million (#2 in cable) and MSNBC's 2.2 million (#5 in cable).
Perhaps most telling, especially as the election ratings bubble begins to pop, is the viewer retention statistics. According to Nielsen, Fox News retained 48% of its Election Day audience for the remainder of the week (Wednesday-Friday), while MSNBC retained 38% and CNN retained just 29%

CNN won Election Night with a primetime average of 12.3 million viewers to Fox News' 9.0 million and MSNBC's 5.9 million.

Palin's Right wing rhetoric incites death threats : They call it treason.

No apology forthcoming from McCain or Palin for questioning patriotism of Obama, provoking a spike in death threats against the future president, Secret Service agents revealed
Yet 64% of Republicans say Palin is their top choice for the GOP 2012 presidential nominee! ...and they wonder how/why they lost!

Sarah Palin's attacks on Barack Obama's patriotism provoked a spike in death threats against the future president, Secret Service agents revealed during the final weeks of the campaign.

Details of the spike in threats to Mr Obama come as a report last week by security and intelligence analysts Stratfor, warned that he is a high risk target for racist gunmen. It concluded: "Two plots to assassinate Obama were broken up during the campaign season, and several more remain under investigation. We would expect federal authorities to uncover many more plots to attack the president that have been hatched by white supremacist ideologues
Irate John McCain aides, who blame Mrs Palin for losing the election, claim Mrs Palin took it upon herself to question Mr Obama's patriotism, before the line of attack had been cleared by Mr McCain
That claim is part of a campaign of targeted leaks designed to torpedo her ambitions, with claims that she did not know that Africawas a continent rather than a country

Podesta promises 'strictest' ethics rules

Change has already started. It's a good first step and Obama is sticking to his campaign promise. McCain and Palin didn't win because they had no substance, no content.

Podesta promises 'strictest' ethics rules

President-elect Barack Obama did not employ lobbyists on his campaign, but they can assist with his transition as long as they de-register as lobbyists and their activities do not cross into policy areas they have tried to influence.

Carrying over the anti-lobbying tenets that defined the campaign, Obama transition chief John Podesta announced Tuesday that the president-elect would enforce what he called “the strictest, the most far-reaching ethics rules of any transition team in history.”

There is no blanket ban on lobbyists, but they will not be able to do transition work in their area of expertise if they lobbied in the past 12 months, nor can they lobby the administration for 12 months afterward on matters on which they worked during the transition.

As for the composition of the Cabinet, Podesta said Obama will make more than “token-level” appointments of Republicans and independents.

Fox News Cut Out From Questions At Obama's First Press Conference

Fox News, a.k.a. the neo con (neo-conservative, not really conservative but with liberal roots and fascist ideology) network no doubt were deemed to disruptive; even for Murdoch! Should be renamed the "Country Last" network! Ha ha ha!

Fox News Cut Out From Questions At Obama's First Press Conference

President-Elect Barack Obama held his first press conference yesterday, one that focused mainly on the current economic crisis. One detail that flew under the radar, however, was which networks and newpapers got to ask questions, or, rather, which one didn't get to ask a question. As Media Bistro notes, one network who was not called upon sticks out: Fox News.

interesting to see how the conservative network adjusts to a political reality in which the Democratic Party holds the White House and substantial majorities in both houses of Congress. Michael Wolff, a Vanity Fair columnist who is writing an authorized biography on Rupert Murdoch's career and family, claims that even Murdoch is embarrassed by Fox News:
Fox News, Obama Fox News, Obama Fox News Questions Press Conference, Obama Media, Obama News, Obama Press Conference Fox News, Obama Press Conference No Questions From Fox News,

Bannish Low Self Esteem Forever

Here is the simplest, surest and most effective remedy for any instances in which you are suffering from a lack of self worth or low self esteem.
Low Self Esteem - The Complete and Sufficient Solution

Shift your focus immediately from the perspective of "what can I get out of this situation" to "what can I contribute of value in this situation." Don't worry about your self doubt that says you have nothing to offer. Just have faith that if you are looking for it, your creative mind will supply you with some way to make a positive contribution. It does not need to be anything fancy, or of monetary value, or involve super creativity or a performance of any kind. It will simply be a gift coming out of your being fully present in the situation, whatever that is.

As soon as you shift your focus of attention in this way, you will feel an immediate relief from any low self esteem. This must be true, because low self esteem is always associated with the perspective of "what can I get" and is never associated with the perspective of "what can I give."

I have found that this method works without fail.

Right-wing media feeds its post-election anger

Sean Hannity, on the other hand, insisted on feigning a post-election detente, telling his Fox News television audience last week, "I want Barack Obama to succeed."
Didn't he think anyone would notice that, just a moment later, he was back parroting the failed campaign argument that Obama is a "mystery"?

"I fear [this] is the guy that has these radical associations 20 years ago," Hannity added, an odd way of demonstrating support for the new commander in chief.

"The Obama recession is in full swing, ladies and gentlemen," Limbaugh told his radio audience of 15 million to 20 million on Thursday. "Stocks are dying, which is a precursor of things to come. This is an Obama recession. Might turn into a depression."
But many on the losing end of last week's election want to hold on to their anger.
Limbaugh launched in with a certain relish. "The game," he told his radio listeners, "has begun."
